Barbara Hockensmith was born in Dayton, Ohio to a military family and lived in Japan as a child. She has traveled through Europe, North Africa and North America. She lives in Folsom, California. She attended Casa Roble High School, American River Junior College and California State University at Chico where she studied Fine Art, Graphic Design/Communications. She's a small business owner working as an art director and printer. She's an active member of her church, serving in the prayer and videography ministries. An avid sports enthusiast Barbara loves fine art, horse-back riding and traveling. She's married and lives in Folsom with husband Ken and two daughters Elyse and Sarah. They have a parakeet, "Chai" and a dog named "Dicey".
